Evan and Jaron Lowenstein were born on March 18, 1974, in Georgia, USA. These twin brothers are singers who perform pop, indie, and alternative rock songs. They are mostly famous for their songs “Crazy for This Girl” and “From My Head to My Heart”.
In 1995, the band released their first live album “Live at KaLo’s Coffe House”. It wasn’t a big success but got the duo some of the much-needed attention in the music world. They went on a tour for a year and after coming back released another independent album Not From Concentrate. During the tour, Evan and Jaron were finally noticed by a producer, Jimmy Buffet, who helped them sign a contract with Island Records.
In 1998, the brothers released their first album We’ve Never Heard of You Either. The album failed to make it into the charts. The duo went on a tour where they performed with various artists, such as Maroon 5.
In 2000, the band signed a contract with Columbia Records and released their second studio album Evan and Jaron. The LP managed to make it into Billboard 200 but placed only 156th. It reached the 4th spot on the US Top Heatseekers chart. Their most famous song “Crazy for this Girl” was included in this album. It reached the 15th spot on Billboard Hot 100.
In 2004, Evan and Jaron released their third studio album Half Dozen, which was mostly a failure and didn’t make it into the charts.
After the split in 2008, the brothers tried solo careers. Jaron released two albums Getting Dressed in The Dark (2010) and The Cordovas (2011). Evan became a talent manager. The brothers still perform their old hits together.
